Cake Pan Capacity
Hot fudge pudding cake: I reduced the portion size, do I reduce the baking time?
I'm making a hot-fudge pudding cake:

but I'm only making 4 servings (1/3 of the recipe).
I also put it in a really big, wide mug (it has the capacity of a bowl but its a bit taller and less wide) instead of a 9x9 pan
The cooking time says 45 minutes...should I reduce the time, increase the time, or keep it the same?

you ALWAYS reduce cooking time when you reduce the volume of food. after about 1/2 hour keep checking it every 5-7 min. keep your oven light on to see what it's doing. even though you have to keep checking it resist the urge to opening the oven door every 2 min. you will screw up the cooking process and it will take you twice as long to cook due to constant heat fluctuations. use your gut, at about the 30 min mark if the top looks how it's suppose to when it's done check it. if it doesn't look quite ready wait and check it in about 5 min. if it looks done but your toothpick test didn't pass, do what i suggested above...
